System message 9 typically means that an item is not found. Setting up a new customer is going to look at some of your default settings on AR setup or customer class setup so I would start there. Did you do something like copy the chart of accounts into the new database. If so, that chart is not linked properly to this new company. A quick way to force the linkage is to go to the chart of accounts maintenance, edit the description on one of the accounts, save, and then edit the description back. That causes the linkage to be rebuilt. Let me know if any of this is helpful or not.
